DOMAIN NAMES

I do not offer nor do I have Domain names for sale. But you'll need to get one for your web site with your business name or whatever you want your domain name to say.

In case you're unfamilar with what a Domain name is, mine is KarenKHenry.com and that is of course my internet address which looks like this in the browser's address bar: http://www.karenkhenry.com

At Godaddy.com I have found the best prices and also the very best customer service I have ever experienced in getting my domain names. You can also get very low priced Web Hosting there if you'd like to.

I don't link to any web addresses without permission, that's why Godaddy.com isn't linked to their web site on this web page, but if you want to go there just type in www.godaddy.com into your browser and click go.

I had assumed that perhaps all Domain name Registries were as good as Godaddy.com but I found out that they are certainly not all created equal.

I'm sure that you could find some other good Domain name Registries as well, but take a look at their prices and also their late fees in case you accidentally run past the renewal date and make sure that you can get your domain name back if that ever happens.

Most Domain name Registries will send you a few emails and some will also send you a letter by postal mail with a renewal reminder long before it's up for renewal, so you should have enough time to renew before the expiration date. I believe that most of the Domain name Registries assume if you're late that you are not interested in keeping your domain name, so be sure to renew it on time!

You can also find Domain name Registries almost anywhere online by doing a search on your favorite Search Engine.

Always remember that it's the domain name owner's responsibility to renew, so just remember to do that and you'll keep your domain name current and in your ownership.

The Next Step is.....

WEB HOSTING

After getting your Domain name, you will need to purchase Web Hosting. I generally have a few slots open and my fee for Web Hosting is pretty cheap too, it's $35 per Year. You'll find online that most are atleast that per month, so you can imagine how expensive it is at various places.

Since I only have a few web hosting accounts available, these are held in reserve for those who hire me for a New Web Site Design---if they wish to purchase Web Hosting from me. There are other great places to get Web Hosting too. You do not have to purchase Web Hosting from me in order for me to build you a Web Site.

If you purchase your Web Hosting from me, the $35 for web hosting is an additional cost to the cost of your new web site design. It doesn't pay for any updates on your web site, it's kind of like paying rent to be online and everybody who has a web site has to have web hosting somewhere or their web site could not be online.

Many web hosts charge a fee monthly, but mine is annually, so each year until you cancel it, I will either email you or send you a letter via postal mail to ask if you'd like to renew your web hosting for the upcoming year. *Remember that this has nothing to do with any web site design or any updates done for your web site, those are separate fees entirely.

Also, with my Web Hosting I don't allow any web sites with any form of vulgarity, violence or indecent material---it will not be tolerated whatsover and I will immediately cancel any hosting accounts with anything questionable that anyone uploads to their web site.

There are no refunds for Web Design if I have already began the work, and there are no refunds for the Web Hosting if you decide to cancel it after the first 30 days.

Sincerly,

Webmaster Karen
